Lockdown
It was not my intention to depict the emotional state the pandemic has us all in but that is how the illustration was interpreted. I have been illustrating the melted human form for a few years and it is a theme I love going back to.
When I put the image out it struck a chord with a lot of people and they associated it with lockdowns and their effects. It was only then that I decided to call the piece Lockdown. Our current circumstance was not on my mind at the time of creation, but it was reflective of it anyway.
